The Edge: Youth Group
The purpose of youth ministry at VVCC is to support parents in the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social development of their children so that they will be equipped to wholeheartedly serve God and share His love with others.
The ultimate goal of this youth ministry is to produce young men and women that are men and women after God's own heart.
We desire “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:12-13). Our youth need to understand that they are a vital member of their immediate family, as well as a participating member of the Body of Christ. We echo Paul’s exhortation to Timothy (I Tim 4:12) “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example to the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” Not only do we desire for them to have the correct intellectual Biblical answers, but I also desire that they internalize a proper Christian world view, and that they are able to rightly apply the Word of God in their daily lives.

SUnday Night Group
From September to June, we meet each Sunday evening from 6-8pm. We have a time for playing games together, a time for worship, for prayer, and a time for a challenge from the word. This is a great time to spend with other youth your age, being challenged to grow in your relationship with God and fellowship with others.
Youth Retreat
Each year, we take a weekend away for an extended time of being challenged in the Word, and spending time together. We pack the weekend with a balance of the fun and the serious, seeking to become more like Christ through our time spent together.
Monthly Youth Events
Each month, we attempt to host an event for students to find a safe place to bond as a group and enjoy life experiences with each other in a christian enviornment.
Our AWANA program also has weekly meetings for 7th-12th graders on Wednesday afternoons. 5-6PM. Learn more HERE!
